Information collected

PG owners provide a name, mobile number, email, password (stored as a one-way password hash), property address and location coordinates, descriptions, pricing and images. Guests requesting a visit submit name, mobile number, preferred visit date, optional email and message.

Why information is used

We use it to run accounts, publish approved PG listings, display their map location, deliver visit requests to the matching PG owner, and manage subscription tiers. Students' request details are shown only to the relevant owner and site administrators.

Location permission

Using “Near me” or “Capture GPS” is optional and requires permission from your browser. The visitor's GPS coordinates are used to filter search results; this website does not save a visitor's current GPS position to the database. PG coordinates submitted by owners are published with approved properties, because they are necessary for the location feature.

Data processing and safety

Uploaded photos are resized and re-encoded to remove embedded metadata. Cookies maintain an owner's login session. Basic request rate-limit identifiers are stored as keyed hashes. External map and font providers may receive routine browser requests subject to their own policies. Only publish a location you have permission to share.

Retention and requests

Account, listing and visit-request records remain stored until site administrators remove them. Automatic retention/deletion and email self-service recovery have not yet been implemented. For access or deletion requests, contact the website operator through the contact channel they publish before launch. Never send passwords in a support request.

Booking and payment

Visit requests are free and are not confirmed reservations. This version does not collect student rent, deposits, or owner subscription payments online. Paid plans, if assigned, are administered manually. Inspect every property before any payment.
